Box Hill Computer Club
(formally Box Hill Project)

Welcome to the Box Hill Computer Club

We may have a new name but we still do the same thing; and that is to teach people how to use their computers. Not easy when everyone is on a different part of their learning journey and absorb information at different rates. We manage it though and all come away each week with something new they didn't know before.

From our humble beginnings described below, we are still here, still teaching, still guiding those who want more out of their computer. Join us.

The Box Hill Project is located in Box Hill, Surrey, England and is where members of the community get together to learn and practice computer skills. If you are interested to know more about us, please go to the enquiry section and contact us.

The original goal of the Project which began in October 2005, was to record the World War II memories and experiences of the members for the BBC WW2 People's War website. You can read the stories that were submitted at www.bbc.co.uk/ww2peopleswar/user/68/u2137268.shtml

The work of the Box Hill Project was recognised when the group won the Community Learning Group of the Year award at the Adult Learners' Awards in May 2006. We are more visible now since we have been featured on the website About Your Area - www.aboutmyarea.co.uk/kt20

If you have computer skills and have the time to devote to helping other gather theirs, please volunteer. You will be most welcome.
